Carolyn, the seamstress, immediately put us at ease with her sweet demeanor and calm disposition. Carolyn has many years of wedding gown alteration experience and it showed. She explained what she was doing to the gown and why.. When we came for the second and final fitting, she again explained what we needed to do the day of the wedding. She even demonstrated how to bustle the gown, what tools were needed, and had me practice till I felt comfortable. The gown was then perfectly pressed by the staff and ready for the big day as we headed to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for the wedding. In addition to my daughters bridal gown, Jan's also cleaned and pressed all the vintage doilies and linen napkins that will be used for the wedding dinner.
